Alberta Family Focused Protocol
What is holding
this matter up?
The client wants an update. The answer is spread across emails, certificates and requests. Bring the current position and the next useful step together.
What is holding preparation
ADR evidence missing.
Disclosure still open.
PAS certificate on file. ADR participation reported. Supporting form absent. September disclosure still requested.
Counsel’s direction neededA full folder can still
leave a question open.
You know the relief being considered. To explain what happens next, you still have to find the latest instruction, check the completion evidence and establish why preparation stopped. Meanwhile, the client is waiting for an answer.
The Court’s FFP hub covers Family and Divorce proceedings across King’s Bench judicial centres. Its current Notice distinguishes Regular, Desk and Urgent processes. Choosing the applicable route remains counsel’s assessment; an inventory makes the preparation behind that assessment easier to inspect.

The form arrived. Counsel can review it.
The participation form is on the matter. The next step is review of its date and scope, rather than another request to the client.

Prepared review note
For counsel’s review
ADR evidence is now available. Please confirm whether it supports the proposed application. The September statement is still missing. Once reviewed, update the requirements position and identify any remaining work before MIT preparation continues.
ADR evidence and September disclosure remain outstanding.
Fictional demonstration. Nothing is sent, filed or scheduled. Resets when you reload.
Follow the part
that needs attention.
Know which request to pursue, which source to review and which decision is yours. Each open issue keeps its own next step.
Does FFP mean the same requirements apply to every matter?
No. Check the applicable process, current Court materials and the circumstances. The mandatory-requirements Notice has its own scope and exceptions.
Why keep disclosure separate from other preparation?
An ADR document arriving does not supply a missing bank statement. Separate issues need separate evidence, owners and review.
What is demonstrated here?
A matter position and a prepared review note. The example keeps the remaining issues visible; counsel determines the applicable process and readiness. Discuss the available workflow during early access.
